“We are delighted to support such an innovative player as Qovoltis in its deployment in France. The electric vehicle market is rapidly expanding, and the needs for charging stations are exponential, whether for individuals, communities, or the private sector,” said Bernardo Cabrera, Director of Objenious. “Through our expertise, consultancy approach, and our ability to offer customized IoT solutions, we are pleased to contribute to Qovoltis’ innovative concept and the global decarbonization movement.”
To date, several hundred Qovoltis charging stations are installed throughout the country (individual houses, parking, etc.). Objenious ensures the connectivity of these charging stations and the many more to come, thanks to a multi-technological offer and a strong commitment to meeting Qovoltis’ specific business constraints.
“Qovoltis was created around a simple and structuring idea: how to satisfy the increasing number of electric vehicle users while preserving the balance of the power grid,” explains Ehsan Emami, President of Qovoltis. “To meet this dual constraint, Qovoltis teams have developed a system of algorithms that use artificial intelligence techniques to control our charging stations in real-time, which are the most advanced on the market from a technological standpoint, and always connected thanks to the most performant IoT network, that of our partner Objenious.”
Intelligent charging stations
Available in wall-mounted or totem versions (Qobox S and Qobox T, respectively), the Qovoltis charging station can recharge an electric vehicle in just 15 minutes to cover the daily 30 km or in 2.5 hours for a full recharge of a city car equipped with a 50 kWh battery. To enhance the user experience, the charging station offers two modes: the “optimized” mode, which will recharge at the best rate for the user, prioritizing off-peak hours whenever possible, and the “fast” mode, which will use all available power for a rapid recharge. The complex algorithm used by the charging station optimizes the distribution of charging power between different vehicles in the same parking lot, taking into account each user’s specific demand while protecting the main meter against any potential overload.
The Qovoltis app allows users to track the progress of their charging in real-time, modify it, or interrupt it based on their needs.
