Many sectors need to manage fleets of motorized or non-motorized vehicles. Fleet management covers a wide range of needs such as tracking routes, the energy consumption of vehicles, or the maintenance of these same vehicles.

Sectors like the construction industry have a vast array of machines and vehicles to manage on temporary sites spread across the territory. From trucks to wagons, including crane elements or backhoe loaders, all this equipment benefits from being quickly localized.

Using Objenious’ LTE-M network, industrialists have a national and international view of their fleets with a level of precision depending on the technologies embedded within the sensor.

With LTE-M native geolocation solutions, there is no need for additional technology: Objenious’ core network is capable of locating each message sent.

The GPS chip integrated into the sensor allows for the GPS positioning to be relayed via the LTE-M network messages. This technology is quite precise (to within a few meters) and also operates indoors.

Wifi Sniffing or beaconing solutions can detect a Wifi network or a beacon using BLE or FSK, which are then geolocated in a database.

The right combination of all these technologies meets many tracking cases.

The main technological advancement of LTE-M, however, remains its ability to be energy self-sufficient for several years without electrical power. This opens up the fleet management market to all non-motorized equipment: wagons, trailers, mobile homes, etc.

Dedicated to the Internet of Things, LTE-M technology provides access to Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN) features. This allows you to offer up to 10 years of autonomy for your devices.
